I had a very interesting meeting with a CEO of a multinational and asked him the following question: ‘what do you expect from managers who give a presentation to you or other members of the board of directors? And this is what he said:
I expect them to be crystal clear. I often received complicated files before coming to the presentation and therefor I need clarity during the presentation. I don’t want to think, I need them to make the difference during that presentation. In order to be clear I expect a thread, I expect anecdotes, and if they think they will have 20 minutes to explain that they are mistaken. They get 5 to 10 minutes!
